Breathe

Awareness is the basis of all growth in our bodies.  Motion is often a catalyst for understanding and perceiving where we are in space (also known as proprioception).   Breath is a subtle motion that is always flowing though our bodies.  This motion can help us function better by slowing down and regulating our nervous systems when they get activated, increase presence in the present moment, and help our body to function better through oxygen and elimination of carbon dioxide.

Take a moment to breathe.  Close your eyes and enjoy the rise and fall of your breath.  Does your breathing feel like wind flowing through you?  Does the air feel stopped anywhere?  Can you breathe into that place?  Better yet, can you remember smelling the most delectable baked goods you can recall?  Take a moment to savor the fact that your body is serving you 100% of the time through breath.

Life is rapid.  See if you can enjoy a moment of solitude and just breathe...
